Our principle is simple

We treat your injuries at their root cause.

We perform a thorough assessment that identifies your underlying cause, we then treat your injury at its very roots to get you back to doing the things you love to do.

Our mission to conduct a thorough assessment to identify special components which are vital towards diagnosing your condition, this helps ensure we give you the right advice and course of management.

We understand that every patient is different, therefore we aim to create a tailored treatment program based on your area of concern and the clinical findings identified during your assessment. The aim is to get you back to doing the things you love to do safely and effectively.

We are located inside Kailo in James St.

Located in the heart of Brisbane's James Street precinct at 50 James Street within the Kailo Well Studio. Our clinic excels in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic injuries while having a strong network of medical practitioners available onsite.

We conduct a thorough examination to identify the area of pain or concern to provide accurate impression/diagnosis.

bar-graph

We will explain what the condition/health concern is, discuss treatment options available, provide advice, education and referral as needed.

The choice of physiotherapy treatment will be determined by the specific condition identified. We will then provide you with the treatment and personalised program to fast-track your recovery. We use state-of-art technology along with a platform that will guide you through your rehabilitation program.

Covered by most private health fund providers

We prioritize your health and wellness and strive to make accessing physiotherapy treatment convenient and seamless. Many private health funds offer cover for physiotherapy, the rebate amounts can vary based on your provider and level of coverage. For more information on your personal rebates, contact your provider directly. We process private health claims during appointments using our on-site HICAPS terminal, so you only pay the gap amount. It's our pleasure to make prioritizing your physical health both seamless and effortless.

FAQs

What should I bring to my initial consult?

On your initial consult, we recommend that you bring any documentation that may be relevant to your injury or area of concern. This can include: If available, a referral letter from your Doctor or other health professional – If you are not making a claim with any third party (eg WorkCover, CTP Insurer) and will be paying for the treatment yourself, a doctor’s referral is not necessary. Medical findings, X-rays or scans. Running shoes and orthotics. Private health fund card and/or other forms of payment methods.

Do you accept private health funds?

Yes, Our clinic accepts most private health funds, and depending on your level of cover and which health fund your are with, this clinic has on spot health rebates available for Physiotherapy services.

I have a claim under Work Cover/ CT / DVA. What should I do?

We accept injury claims under work cover, compulsory third party insurance (CTP) and department of veteran affairs (DVA) patients at our clinic. We do kindly as that you bring all necessary documentations to the clinic with you on your first consultation including any relevant information including case reference number, case manager contact details or any other relevant information if available.

I have a care plan (CDM), do you accept medically referred Chronic Disease Management Plans?

Yes, if you wish to attend under the Enhanced Primary Care/Chronic Disease Management scheme you will require a valid referral from your GP prior to your appointment. You may be eligible for a maximum of 5* sessions per calendar year and your GP will determine if you are an eligible candidate. We do not bulk-bill, there is a gap fee for physiotherapy treatments under a Chronic Disease Management Plan.

How long does an initial consultation take?

The length of treatment depends on a number of factors. It often takes a little longer during your initial consultation than follow-up sessions as your Physiotherapist will want to perform a few extra assessment techniques and ask a few extra questions to ensure they make the most accurate diagnosis of your problem. Generally initial consults will take anywhere between 30-50minutes.

What should I wear for my physiotherapy consultation?

Generally speaking,  we recommend you wear something loose fitting, your Physio will most likely need to see the affected area to assess it and treat it effectively.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that your circumstances can change, so we kindly ask for a minimum of 24-hours notice if you wish to cancel your appointment. This provides the practice with an opportunity to offer the appointment to other clients from our waiting list.

  1. If you cancel or do not attend a scheduled Physiotherapy without providing 24 hours notice, a fee of $30.00 will be charged for any follow-up or initial assessment.
  2. After more than one failure to attend or late cancellation, we may charge you the full cost of the treatment.
  3. After more than two failures to attend or for late cancellations, we will charge you the full cost of the treatment and you will be required to pre-pay for any future appointments.

Please note: Motor Accident Insurance, Workers Compensation Insurance and Medicare covered Chronic Disease Management (formerly EPC) does not generally cover charges for non-attendance. These charges will need to be met by the client out of pocket.
